GF 10 month old baby - lunchtime nap dilemma please advise

Can anyone advise please - my 10 month dd slept 1/2 hour am and 2-3 hour lunch up until couple of weeks ago, she has just started walking so you'd think she'd be more tired. She now only sleeps 1 hour and 1/4 . I wouldn't mind but it results in her finding it difficult to last til 7 and consequently waking earlier and earlier and its vicious circle
I have tried the following:
Cut back am nap
Stretched wake times in between naps
Put to bed earlier
Short nap late pm - very difficult as she protests a lot at this time and hardly seems worth it as by the time she is ready for a nap its almost bedtime anyway.
Am I expecting too much or should I try cc its difficult after she's slept an hour isnt it anyone tried it? Suggestions appreciated.

So is she still doing the 1/2 in the morning, then a v. short afternoon nap? Couldn't work out if you meant she's just now doing 1 nap of 1 1/4.

What time does she get up in the morning? Does she wake screaming or chattering ? If shes chattering leave her in the morning, you don't have to jump up straight away.

My 9 month old does half an hour in the morning, and max hour and a half Pm. But still only does 11 hours at night so a 7pm bedtime means a 6am wake up.

The solution appears to be trying to stretch the bedtime later. You are going to have to change the routine a bit to con her, give her a later bath time - when she is tired that will keep her going longer, extra effort to entertain her and try and stretch it out later and later.

Good luck.

Have you tried moving lunch later and then putting her down after that, later than usual? My dd (9 mos) does an approx GF, has about 45 mins or more in the am - I found with ds that he needed longer at this nap than GF would allow and he slep better at lunch because of it. Then we have lunch at 12 or 12.30 and she goes down, really tired, for a long nap at about 1 or 1.15pm. She sometimes wakes, but will often sleep til three and then be happy to go to bed at 7, and the world doesn't end if her 2.30 bottle is up to an hour late (no matter what GF says ). Works for us, anyway.

Thanbks for that you guys I went back to basics and stuck rigidly to the GF plan for a couple of days e.g put down exactly 21/2 hours from waking and she slept 21/2 hours plus her 1/2 hour in am and Saturday we had a 8.30 am lie in whoopee!¬
