can she get back down by herself?
if she can, I'd leave it - she might get used to it and bedtimes could get tricky!

it's up to you. i used to do the former, but the latter may be more effective.

I she crawling? If so, she's probably mobile enough to get herself down on her own. She stands up and cries because she wants you to play with her, probably. If she's clean, not hungry or thirsty and not in pain, then I would say leave her be. She needs to learn that bedtime is bedtime, IME.

Oh bless her, I remember those days, it's so cute!

Agree with hana - totally!

hi, DS did this at that age it went on for a few weeks, i just ignored him unless he was sobbing and then i would just go in, lay him back down and walk out. He still stands up when ever I put him to bed now (11mths) and i can hear him chattering and then he gets bored and goes to sleep.

we had exactly this problem and we did controlled crying, which worked. We went in and lay her down each time.

The problem at that stage seemed to be that once she had stood up, she couldn't sit down again without falling and banging her head on the cot.

She's 11 months now and although she still occasionally does it, I know she can safely sit down again so we tend to leave her.
