6 month old terrible sleeper & wakeful all night

Well, my gorgeous 6 month old DS is an appalling sleeper & always has been. He is fully FF and self settles for naps & at bedtime. However from 10pm he turns into a little devil & usually wakes every 2 hours & either requires a bottle or settling - either patting or cuddle. I think he is waking because he wants to co-sleep which I have done previously out of desperation however I get no sleep as whenever I move position he wakes Hmm. DH & I are exhausted & I feel I'm not giving my DD (3) any quality time. The other week I was so knackered I reversed the car into a parked car (I have parking sensors Blush & still managed it).

So last night we tried sitting next to the cot with hand on him (tried bottle first if it had been more than 3 hours) he settled like this but never for more than 2 hours :( at 5am I'd had enough and put him in bed with us. He's weaning & is enjoying a varied diet & eats a fair bit, he's not very good at milk drinking in day (especially at 7am) as he's too nosy. However he's not always waking for hunger as he won't always take a bottle.

Any ideas / suggestion gratefully accepted!! Xx

where is he sleeping? is he in your room? is it you/dh thats waking him? or perhaps hes in his own room and wakes up and needs reassurance that you're there/to hear you breathing? try swapping rooms.. hes still only very little! Smile

He's been in our room in a cot but more recently in his own room - made no difference tho. Been like having a newborn tonight :(
