This has been done to death I'm sure but my 10mo won't sleep!

I might go mad if I don't get some sleep soon!

DD2 has had (in the last few weeks) a cold, a nasty strain of Noro, another cold , at the moment she has a 'slight' ear infection and conjuctivitis.

She is learning to cruise, stand independently and is, I think, begining to say her first words - annoyingly they are Dada and ta.

These are all, I'm sure, reasons to wake up searching for boob no less than 8-10 times a night? But I can't cope much longer and if I have to hear my DM or DP say give her a bottle one more time I'm going to go f'ing insane

And breathe! Pity party over - sorry Blush

My 10 month old wont sleep either. We have also had the norovirus, he currently has a hideous cold, I'm sure he's due the next round of teeth next.

I'm utterly exhausted and have gone a bit mad with the sleep deprivation. I have nothing helpful to offer but you are not alone....

Oh ... he is night weaned btw & it makes not a jot of difference. I have been tempted to try a bottle but I'm too tired to work out what it is I need to do Blush

My 10 month old ds does now sleep at night after the 8/9 mo sleep regression at is now suffering separation anxiety quite badly. If nothing disturbs him he will sleep all night but any cough/noise and he gets so panicked he won't go off unless he is in my arms.

Naps have been a total nightmare as he just won't relax enough to sleep unless he is in my arms which I just can't keep doing. It all came to a bit of a head yesterday so I started the gradual retreat method and things improved today. I say improved...45 mins of sitting in his room and continually laying him down compared to the 80 mins yesterday!

I know things get better as I went through a similar thing with ds1 who is now 3 and couldn't keep his eyes open much past 6.30pm tonight and I'm unlikely to hear a peep from him until 7am when his gro clock wakes!

For us the night sleep got better over quite a quick period of time. In the space of about 5 days the wakings got less and less and are now infrequent thank goodness

Mine is being a total pain at nap time. Has also learnt to do about a million different things in the last week or two, has a snotty cold and won't settle without a good 45 minutes of crashing about in his cot, even though he's exhausted. So frustrating!

In a funny way, it's nice to hear that I'm not alone - sorry Grin

Another awful night last night, 10+ wakings. At 3am I commited the cardinal sin and brought her downstairs, I changed her wet nappy, gave her calpol and teething powder and fed her. We didn't manage to get back to bed until 5am - but at least I got to have a cup of tea and watch trashy tv, instead of sitting in a dark room!

She woke up at 7.15 bright as a button the little buggar. She's now tearing round the house like a mini tornado.

Seriously the illnesses are awful aren't they! I feel like she's been constantly ill since starting nursery

mooji glad to hear that things are improving in your house. DD1 is also 3 and we had similar issues thinking about it, its funny how you forget when you want your second baby!

teacher we have problems at nap time too, but not quite as badly. I find I have a little more patience in day-light hours, only just mind you!

Good luck for naps and tonight ladies - fingers crossed for you all Smile
