Dd is 22 months and until recently went to sleep like a dream. Bath bottle bed. About a week ago she started to cry when I put her down as normal. I git her up in the end as she was really upset.
Since then she cries every night and I I have to get her up and rock her to sleep.
I left her a while tonight but she was so upset and took ages to stop even after I got her up poor thing.
I'm not sure what to do next now.
Any ideas?

Does she give any hints as to what's the matter? I don't have any experience of dc this age but I remember reading that this is around the age that imagination starts to develop so some dc start getting scared of the dark. Could it be something like this?

Hopefully more knowledgeable peeps will be along to hep soon but i didn't want your post to go unanswered!

IME crying like that can be developmental (& I recall DS having a big blip at around 22 months) but can also be down to not being tired enough so she may need a bit of a routine tweak.

whats her daytime routine? wake time, naptime & length & bedtime?

Well she is just down to one nap of around an hour but the other day no nap and settled well at 7 slept till 7 so maybe it's time to stop naps. Seems a bit young though.
I'm not scared of a bit of controlled crying but she is distressed not just angry at being put down so I can't leave her.
Today up at 7 nap at 11 -12 then busy day and attempt at bedtime around 6 .30 as seemed very tired
