Ok, so she's never been a great sleeper but we were doing ok(ish!) but oh my goodness the past week has been a nightmare!

I'll spare you all the boring details but basically she won't sleep in her cot and most definitely won't settle on her own. She has always fed to sleep (bf) but then has went down in her cot and slept until she woke for next feed.

Fast forward to now and I'm at breaking point! She will fall asleep and then as soon as I even move, never mind try to put her in her cot, she's awake and upset. She is on and off the boob for at least 3 hours every night feeding and sleeping until the time comes for me to try and move her into cot. Cue constant crying and sleepless nights. Last night she woke every hour until I took her in with me at 4am!

So do I co-sleep or do I persevere with trying to put her down? I certainly don't have any problem with feeding to sleep - I'm just a little concerned that she still cluster feeds for at least 3 hours every night (feeding every 2 hours through the day and weight gain very good)

Anyone got any words of wisdom for an almost broken woman???

Bumping for you (hope you get some sleep soon!)

Just co-sleep, so much easier and restful.

I wouldn't personally be concerned with the cluster feeding.

Can sympathise, it becomes like groundhog day with no sleep doesn't it? We persevered with the whole getting her back in her cot thing but looking back
It would have been easier just to accept and go with the flow. If you're happy to have her in with you for a couple more weeks then don't bother with the stress. If you'd prefer to stick to her routine then try the old shush pat thing. Either way it'll probably sort it ourself out soon so try not to stress TOO much.

Thank you ladies for pointing me towards the light at the end of the (what seems to be a very long!) tunnel, and saving my sanity!

And yes, it is a groundhog day nightmare. Throw into said nightmare a three year old and I'm feeling very fragile!

So tonight it's deep breathing (nothing to do with my husband Wink), tea and biscuits and co-sleeping.

Thank you.
