2week old is perfectly happy by day, sleeps and eats, dosnt cry, will go in her moses basket, sleep on bed alone etc etc...come bed time this all changes... we feed (she feeds a lot i the evening!!), we put her down and she screams her head off and can only be settled by more feeding....BF is painful, especially at night and she feedings much. Is the screaming normal? are we doing something wrong? we are co-sleeping......

Can I just say snap, in triplicateGrin
Wish I had an answer, sounds like cluster feeding if settling with feeding. Is DC quite sicky? Not sure if reflux can happen only at night, hopefully someone with more knowledge will be along soon.
I guess if co-sleeping is an option for you then definitely do it, use lansinoh (?sp) liberally and try not to get too stressed x

Thanks!! I was wondering if I was doing something to distress her. Im in Dubai so am awake now but last night she just ate and ate and ate and ate.....my boobs are so sore. Ive been trying different positions to get the latch right but on the right boob nothing works. Best friend from UK arrives this morning with emergency supplies of Lanoish (spl??) as i can't get it here.
She isn't a sickly baby just a hungry one but i will have a look at reflux and check it out......so tired, think we managed 2/3 hours in total last night......oh..she is sound asleep now and will probably remain so all day!!!!

It does all sound perfectly normal. Have a read of Bfing your newborn - what to expect in the early weeks and fussy evenings and cluster feeding.

As for your latch, have a look at and have a read of this on latch.

If it is still painful after ths cream, is there a Lactation Consultant in your area who could help?

Like the others have said though, I'd feed her on the settee while you are up and just take her to bed when you go.
