Nursing to sleep has stopped working for my 4.5 month old

Which would be great if she'd fall asleep on her own instead! But she doesn't. So last night involved DH sitting on my yoga ball and bouncing with her until she fell asleep! I can't do that every night (she's too heavy for me to hold long at over 16lb). Any ideas? She wakes at least 3 times a night and nurses back to sleep fine; it's just naps and bedtime where it doesn't work. She pulls off and cries (over tired?) instead of gently drifting off like she used to!

We have just moved her into her cot which might account for it although she was fine for the first couple of days and had been napping fine in there for about a week before hand.

She will take a dummy and will settle with it if she stirs in the night (for a little while).

Bedtime routine is PJs, story, music and nursing. Nap routine is a story, music and nursing. But lately it's been a walk in the stroller or a drive in the car as she won't nap any other way. She does get pretty good long naps that way though, she seems to like the cosiness of her carseat or stroller over the cot, even when they're not moving.

I'm contemplating doing the bedtime routine but nursing first then PJs, story, music and putting her down. And then sitting next to her cot holding her hand or patting her. But I know she'll cry and I don't want to leave her crying. Maybe pick up, put down?

I have no idea what to do for the best. One minute I think a few minutes crying will be ok; the next I think let's co-sleep instead. I think I've read too many books...

Sorry for the long post. Any words of advice, sympathy, encouragement welcomed!

Oh and sorry for my use of "stroller" instead of buggy. We live in the US and I managed to use the British words for dummy (pacifier) & cot (crib) but stroller slipped through my internal converter!
