Has anyone tried this? Its at John Lweis can't find it anywhere else new, wondering if this means its no good/pointless?

I fell asleep feeding (lying down) my DD2 8weeks last night and woke up with her sort of tucked under me, reallythought she had suffocated for a few horrible seconds as couldn't feel her breathing till I picked her up. I wondered if something like the sleepyhead would be better if she does end up in with me and will be less tempting to leave her in as I'd be able to transfer her more easily.

I'm not sure about that product, but you could spend a little extra money and get a Cocoonababy. There are reviews for it on Mumsnet. However, it only lasts until 3-4 months (or until baby is able to roll over). I recently bought a Cocoonababy and my daughter seems to enjoy it, at least more than the moses basket. We put it in bed with us as a safe way to co-sleep and it worked well. I hope this helps.

thankyou I haven't heard of that, I will look it up now. Only problem is DD is two months already so if its expensive it may not be useful for long.

I forgot to mention that we got ours from babyreflux which seems to be the cheapest place I was able to find it.

Yes! We use one! We find it brilliant!

DD finds it really comfy and settled in it relatively easily when, like yours, only my chest would do for sleeping on. It is expensive, but we found it invaluable. Really convenient when you need to take DDs bed with you too.

thanks samrababy I searched on here and found a thread about i it looks good but i think something I should have started off with to get my moneys worth.

thanks pickledlily how old is your dd? just wondering how long we could use it till?do you think it would be good to use when bed sharing so I wouldnt worry about rolling onto her?

No chance of you rolling on top of her if the Sleepyhead is on the bed next to you, it's pretty chunky.

My DD is 4.5 months, but I guess with all these type of products, I'd stop using them once she can roll onto her front. I'll probably still use it though for daytime naps around the house if I am keeping an eye on her.

I'm hoping it will help her transfer to a cot and new room too, if we just sling it in the cot to get her used to the surroundings.

I'm a bit evangelical about it I'm afraid, simply because it transformed things for us when my LO wouldn't sleep anywhere else but on me. That cocoon thing was what I was trying to find but couldn't when I came across the Sleepyhead in JL.

They have a website with more info... www.enfant-terrible.se/

Thanks I want one! I have hit my anxious point and it would stop me panicking over dd in my bed i think. And may even help get her to stay in her cot too.

Let us know how you get on! After I bought ours, I wondered why on earth people bother with moses baskets although our moses basket has proved very useful for storing linen.
