Any one used this on a non sleeping baby ?

DD is 8 months and up 8-10 times a night. It seems to be getting worse as the months go on .

Any positive and negative effects?

Hi

I took DS to Cranial Osteopath at same age as your DD. Positive effects? Yes, was happy I'd taken him. He had a restriction in his neck and his pelvis which made a whole load of sense when we found out, which she released. It had probably not helped his sleep problems as he always slept on one side and has a flat spot on his head (forgotton posh name for it). This is improving though.

I'd say it's definately worth a go to rule out any physical problems. BUT don't expect a miracle sleep fix. Ours is still a rubbish sleeper at 1 year old. It isn't a cure all but I am still glad I took him, as it was one less problem going on. I think it has helped his physical development which was slow and I attribute some of that to his stiff neck.

Definately no negative effects at all and she was so helpful and reassuring, it was a lovely experience for us.

That's not to say yours MIGHT be a quick fix mind you - the CO did say some parents had sleep problems ruled out from one session. I believed her, she had no reason to do a hard sell IYKWIM.

What did she actually do and how did you.find her ?-

I suppose I'd describe it as very very gentle physio. They sort of lay baby down and 'feel' for restrictions. It wasn't just the head.

I found it very interesting. In the initial assessment she said that he had a restriction in his neck on one side and in pelvis to the other side which she described as a 'twist' running through his body. I hadn't told her about the birth in any detail. It was a difficult birth. He was delivered early after an induction, and was back to back, had to have ventouse and basically turned right around as they pulled him out. So he was twisted!

I just did a google search in my area and her website was very good with lots of testimonials etc.

In fact here is the link

There is some info on there you might find useful. Good luck.

I think it helped us- at 12 weeks DS was getting more frantic and also had colic and silent reflux joy and it took him to a more chilled level for a day or do after
I didn't continue long term as it was 40a session and I was on mat pay
If you're in mids I know of goo place that does it for a donation only pm me if relevant
