I know a lot of people will respond here saying its too early but I am really keen to get my ds 9 months sleeping through the night. I am pretty sure he gets enough t eat during the day but is still having a bottle at night which I don't think is necessary. He has been a horrific sleeper from day one but is improving and has done the occasional sleep throu (although that was months ago). In the past month or so he has managed to have just one wake up (although not consistent - think we are slightly slipping back in to two or even three). I realise this is not an extreme situation but I have been back at work full time for the past few months and I really want a few nights sleep! I also want to start having a little bit of a life. Maybe be able to go out once in a while, have people over etc. PLease help with tips! Thank you in advance I realise this is a much laboured discussion on mn,

Are you open to doing sleep training? Would be useful to know what a typical 24 hrs looks like, including timing/length of naps and meals etc?

No advice sorry, but watching with interest

DS (8 months) has never slept through. We have just got him into a routine of going to bed about 7ish but he often only stays asleep for 30 mins and then wakes. And then wakes about every hour :(

I think the longest he has done is 4 hours. I feel your pain OP!

Have a similar problem, so hoping for some advice too! My boy is 12 months and when he was about 10 months he was sleeping through the night, at least from 8pm til 6am. Then we did the big mistake: went on holiday for 2 weeks. I don't know if it was the heat of south of France or what, but he started wanting a bottle at about 3am again. This has continued since and it is very frustrating. Like you I am confident he gets enough food during the day and doesn't need the bottle in the night but nothing will settle him, especially not a dummy!

Its not good is it? Ds2 is 10m and the only way i could get him to sleep which has only been recently is to either move tea time a bit later or give him weetabix/ready brek before bed. Ive also started dream feeding him before i go to bed and it seems to be working (so far that is).

I still bloody wake up every 2 hours though for a wee/turn over/snoring Wink

I also put him to sleep 3 hours after he last woke (goes for daytime naps too) and lavender oil in his bath.
