Grin

He slept until 6am GrinGrinGrin

Got his bedroom ready yesterday, got bed and comfy chair set up for me to cope with the wakings better (we just moved out of the room last week and into our new loft room so no longer sharing with him)

After all the preparations and positive talk about doing what needs to be done before tackling him this weekend with expressed milk and DP he blo*dy slept!

He did go to bed an hour and half later (not by design) but even so - its a miracle i tell you Grin

Wonder whether its a one off now...........

Just another thought, whilst i was ambling around the supermarket - we also moved DS's cot to the other side of the room just before the first night he slept through.

Im wondering whether there might have been a slight draft or something that kept waking him. (He still needed to learn to settle himself but im wondering if this maybe made it worse).

Maybe worth a thought to - moving the cot just to see!

Fingers crossed for tonight!

Hey VVV, Just catching up with you here!

Was about to Email you to see if you were still in need of help as I have been invited on to Richard and Judy and they want me to select a family (in London) to work with and I thought you might be interested. I see from this thread you have sorted the problem which is great news. If you have any hiccups and might be interested in this do let me know. (You are filmed btw, not sure if this is everyone's cup of tea!)

I shall assume that you are pretty much sorted though - so glad you are sleeping again.

Take care x

Hi nannyme.Does this mean you are a sleep expert because I am seriously struggling with my ds of 8 months who is waking up every half to an hour all through the night. I am at a complete loss as to what to do.Any ideas?

Hi Pad

Hey, even I am reluctant to call myself a sleep 'expert' but I do help families with sleep training and it generally works!

You can go to sky news's website and click on the lifestyle link (bottom left) and there you will find a feature on me and my sleep training methods.

It isn't a cheap service but it is good value for money. In the feature I mention, there is a 5 point plan for sleep which you may be interested in if you didn't want to pay for my service. If you were interested in the Richard and Judy thing, that is also a possibility but I need to check through a long list of people who responded to my offer of a free supernanny help and who missed out. If any of them, or indeed Vicki, were interested then they would have first refusal, of course.

I am supposed to be making a judgement about how 'telly friendly' people are - any tips on how to do that would be gratefully received! lol

I would love to pay for your service if I could afford it!!! WinkWe did get a sleep lady in to help us but it did not go very well in the end! I am really struggling with him and really have tried everything. He goes down well at the beggining of the night after bath, milk, story etc but then every time he wakes up he obviously just can't put himself back to sleep and needs me to pat him. This is literally every hour all through the night.I can't do the cc thing as it does not feel right to me. Does anyone else have this problem at the moment?

Not such a great night last night.....

DS woke at 4.30am screaming. I managed to get him off to sleep in about 10-15 minutes which is better.

He woke again at 5.30am but went straight off to sleep after a few pats. He next woke at 8am which is when i first fed him. So not so terrible. I think he might be teething - he's been quite sensitve today too.

Anyway, hopefully tonight will be better again.

Smile
