Should I do this for all her naps?

Have noticed recently that dd (9 months) seems to nap really well in her car seat. I'd started just putting her in it, in snowsuit if she needed a nap but I knew I had to go out within say 1/2 hour and noticed that this way she will regularly sleep for up to 2 hours. Normally her naps in the cot last 20 mins and she wakes up tired. I think its possibly as she can't move in car seat so doesn't roll over and wake herself up as she comes out deep sleep. Anyway, just wondering if I should start doing this all the time for naps to see what difference quality sleep makes to her life, or is this encouraging horrible sleep habits I will curse myself for later. Nighttimes aren't great so sleep is a bit of a "thing" for me!

I wouldn't if it was me tbh - as you say, you don't want to find that she ultimately won't sleep anywhere else.

Why not try making her more immobile in her cot. Cover her with a sheet or blanket, tuck in tight and shove a rolled towel down either side of the cot to keep the blanket in. She will find it harder to wriggle around.

Think you might regret it when she gets bigger although you do restrict your own movements if she will only sleep in her cot - I know that to my cost.

Thanks for replies. Think you're right I will only regret it in the long run as it doesn't really help her to fall asleep on her own. Plus she will outgrow the carseat in a couple months and go to one fixed permanently in car-and I'll be damned if I'm spending hours sitting in a car even if it does mean she sleeps!
