Gro bags

I am thinking of putting Dd2 into a gro bag to sleep. I have a couple left over from DD1. But didn't put DD1 into the ones I bought for her for various reasons

So, my main concern is that she will have cold arms. At the moment she sleeps in a towelling sleep suit with short sleeved vest underneath and she is swaddled in a swaddling cloth and has a doubled over cellular blanket over her. She ends up out of her swaddle and with the cellular blanket around her waist, hence me wanting to put her in the gro bag.

I was thinking of sticking her in a cotton sleep suit with nothing underneath and then into the gro bag. Does that sound about right?

Thanks for any input.

you could use a long sleeved bodysuit (the ones with no legs) or a short sleeved popper vest with pj top or sleepsuit over it. It will depend on the tog of the grobag and the temperature of the room as to how many layers to put on under the grobag.

I've had a look at the bags. One says '1 tog, does not exceed 3 tog' the other says 'maximum 2.5 tog approx'

I'd say overnight our room is about the 18-20 recommended temp (we are in Scotland so not that warm outside

unless it was really warm we used to use a 2.5tog bag with short sleeved popper vest and a long sleeved sleepsuit - also Scotland

Thanks. I will use the 2.5 one with short sleeved vest and cotton sleep suit tonight and see how we go.
