4mo waking frequently. Advice needed!

Hi
I have a 4mo ds. He used to sleep great, goes down about 7.30/7.45ish after bath/bottle routine. He tends to go to sleep straight away, but if not we use the pu/pd technique. He used to sleep from this time right through till 3/4am then wake for a feed. However, he will now sleep till about 10/11 (whenever we go to bed) and then wake every 2 hours. The thing is, he is not waking up properly but is crying in his sleep. I have tried to leave him but eventually he cries so loudly that he does wake himself up and we have problems. I tend to go in, find his dummy, put it back in his mouth and he just turns over and continues sleeping. He doesn't appear to need a feed because this is enough. Not a problem, except that it has become a VERY regular occurance.
Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have ANY advice? Oh, he wakes about 8am for breakfast, so he does sleep well. It's just me getting constantly woken that is the problem!

Sounds like Four Month Sleep Regression to me. Have a search for it as there are quite a lot of threads on it.

i'm going through exactly the same thing. My DD is 5 months old and for the last 3 months she has woken up usually every 2-3 hours during then night. She does exactly the same thing, does a little wimper and we find the dummy, put it back in and she goes straight back off again. Its exhausting isn't it? She has also missed the night feed from a young age as she always seemed too tired to feed and wasn't particulary hungry during then night.

Sorry no advice, just lots and lots of sympathy! I'm just hoping it gets better with age like people keep telling me! Hmm
I'll watch this thread to see if anyone comes up with any useful tips!

lots of hugs!
