Does my routine look ok?

Hi everyone
I was hoping to get a bit of advice about my 8 week old babies routine.
We are mix feeding due to supply issues. This is the routine we have sort of fallen into- I broke my ankle when he was 3 weeks old which has meant we are pretty much housebound so I think he has fallen into the routine by himself fairly easily.
This is Tom's day
Tom's Day

5.30am- 6am wake and feed- BF
6.30/7am- 8.30/9am sleep
9am feed- bottle
Play/change etc
10-11am- sleep
11am BF
12.30-1pm- bottle
1-3pm sleep
3pm- BF
Play/change etc
4pm- bottle
Play/change etc
5-6pm sleep
6pm BF
Play/change etc
7pm- bottle
Play/change etc
8-10.30pm sleep
10.30pm bottle
11pm settle to sleep
Start again.

My questions are:
Is he getting too much sleep?
Am I over feeding him? He is quite sicky but gets very upset if we reduce the formula!
How do we move to an upstairs early evening bed time when at the moment he is with me 24 hours a day out of necessity (due to ankle!) and naps in his bouncer and then goes in his basket when asleep.
If we put him in his basket at any other time, he screams!
I am scared we will ruin the good run of sleep we have at night for the sake of getting him upstairs at 7.30!
Thanks
H

I wonder when you do your bathtime? My DH does this at 6 and then hands DD to me to feed to sleep. She is down by 8pm. We find it a good way to signal that the longer period of sleep is coming and her day is ending.

Also, we are VERY loosely following GF, in terms of using the nap and feed times as a rough guide. I think at DS' age, she would recommend that baby gets no more than 3 or 3 1/2 hours sleep between 7am and 7pm. In theory this ensures they sleep longer at night.

Hi that looks pretty normal - as to sleep, adding up your hours it looks as though he is getting 15-16 hours, so he could probably have more not less at this age.

To move to an early bed time I would try not to let him have a sleep at 5-6 but rather see if you can keep him going for a bath around 5.30/6 with a little play and then a bottle and very quiet time - bit of gentle singing or a "story" followed by "bed" proper. Yes he'll be up again in the late evening but I'd cut out any "play" after the bath/bottle/bed routine, just gentle rocking and soothing / singing if required, low lights etc and back down when possible.

Hope this helps.

In terms of sleep and nap times this looks almost exactly the same as my 8 week dd's routine that she has sorted out for herself. I bf on demand so feeding tends to be more variable but otherwise spot on.

i've decided that unless she shows willing on her own i'm going to leave it till 4 months to try and establish a 7pm bedtime. but that may be just because i am crap at routines so am putting it off a bit so i don't have to bother organising myself :)
