Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

DD was an amazing sleeper and slept through quite early on.

When she hit 9 months bedtime became difficult (she stopped being able to self settle and had to be cuddled to sleep taking an hour or so) but she was still sleeping through.

When she hit 10 months she started waking at night and it has gradually built up to last night being 5 times. Shes doesnt want milk, She stands in her cot and shouts.

I have tried staying with her to reassure her, feeding her, cuddling her but nothing works. In desperation i have been letting her come in bed with me but it takes ages for her to calm down and she is such a bloody fidget pants, she wakes a lot and tries to crawl around Confused

Her daytime naps are rubbish, she will only sleep in her pushchair (which im fine with) and sometimes only has half an hour a day, even though i give her plenty of opportunity to sleep. (2 walks a day, car journeys, story time in cot with bottle)

I go back to work in 2 weeks and i dont function well without sleep, DP is pretty useless.

Please give me advice!!

I had similar with both of my babies at 10 months. I also tried co-sleeping but they would not settle and none of us were getting any sleep. So we did controlled crying, by the book, and it worked perfectly for both of them.

10 minutes is probably a bit too long to start with.

I did it by the book - there is a strict method with timings and special conditions etc - not sure of the name of the book but the author is Richard Furber. Or Ferber? Something like that.

I find that if i go in she gets worse, and her crying gets louder and more hysterical. Is that normal?
