6mo waking every 2-2.5 hours at night

DD has gone from sleeping 7pm to 5.30am every night to waking up every 2 to 2.5 hours. At first I thought it was a growth spurt, but she's more than doubled her solids intake during the day, as well as guzzling as much milk as she can get her hands on and her sleep is getting worse and worse.

Has anyone else had this? Do you know what's causing it? How can I help her sleep again?

Have you tried offering milk at night? It could be hunger.

Could be a developmental sleep regression.

Could be related to weaning (some children sleep worse when they're being weaned)

YY to milk. She takes a feed every time but I don't know if it's hunger or habit...if it was hunger surely she wouldn't keep waking up after a feed? It's like clockwork.

So the whole "they'll sleep better once they're on solids" line is a lot of rubbish? Sad

Is she using her nappy a lot at night? That might be what's waking her.

lucidlady yes! It's bollocks, frankly. If it were true then all babies would sleep through from 6mo (they don't!)

lucidlady DD had a funny phase at around 6m where she would cry every hour or couple of hours at night. She would often settle herself again and sometimes I'm not even sure that she was awake. I think she may have been crying in her sleep. I found if I went to her too quickly, it woke her up more and she became more unsettled. Are you sure your LO is definitely waking up and needing attention?
