Ditching daytime naps

My DD will be three in August and still sleeps for two hours in the afternoon. She goes to preschool two mornings and on those afternoons could even sleep longer. She goes to bed at eight in the evening and generally sleeps for 10-11 hours. If she skips daytime nap because we are out she still only sleeps 10-11 hours at night. So does she need it? Should I stop it. And how?

Iam very envious - DS is 3 and whilst he does need the daytime nap, he is a horror to settle off if he sleeps. So we have a toss up,of keeping him awake and having a very long afternoon, or letting him sleep and having a very long evening!

If the balance is right, ie she sleeps in the day and the nighttime sleep isn't affected, IME I'd be loathed to ditch!

But if you want to try reducing the naps, we did it bit by bit over a few days with nursery to see how he coped. He did do without a nap for a few weeks but then seems to want/ need them. We don't have them every single day but more often than not.
