Baby and toddler sharing room

Has anyone got experience of putting their 6mo and 2.5yo in the same room to sleep? 2.5yo goes to sleep well but wakes up early, 6mo fights sleep but we only have 2 bedrooms and I would really like my room back so as DH and I could get some decent sleep (amongst other things!) 2.5yo says she would like to share but I'm just concerned it's going to cause more probs than its worth. Any thoughts?

My 4 yr old and 2.10 yr old have shared since youngest was 3 months. There have been a few nights (

I'm interested in this too. We only have 2 bedrooms and thinking of having another baby. Ds is 3. Can it work?

Our DC are 2.4 yrs apart. We put them in together just before DD's first birthday. The main reason we'd kept her in our room so long was because she wasn't sleeping through at all.

They have been happily sharing a room ever since, now 5 and 3 yrs. We did worry that DD's howling would wake DS, but he seemed to take it all in his stride - good thing too as she continued to wake in the night for ages

By coincidence we just put our two in the same room together tonight, youngest is 9 months and oldest 3 in the summer, in separate rooms they seem to still be waking if the other one woke in the morning and the baby was nearer our room so waking when DH was getting ready to go to work...so in times of waking it felt like it could nt get worse so possibly could it get better???? Will see, I'm not expecting the baby to suddenly sleep through, but maybe in the morning they will amuse each other for a while and start to get used to it for when they are a little older and can play like PP said....

Thanks I think I will give it a try in the near future then. Fingers crossed.
