Hi, I am new to mumsnet and haven't posted before! I have a 4 and a half month old DD who has slept through the night in her cot from 11 weeks - we have been lucky so far! In the last week or so she has started waking an hour or so earlier than usual, at 6-6.30am - not sure why. The last 2 nights she has also woken in the night. She doesn't cry though, just chats in her cot! If I leave her to it she goes quiet after about 10-15mins, when I go in to check she is asleep again! Has anyone else had this with their babies? I wouldn't leave her if she sounded distressed but she doesn't, and she seems fine when I go to get her up in the morning. She is quite vocal in the day, chats and squeals a lot - attracts a lot of attention in the supermarket!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

WElcome! Yes thats normal - when we moved bedrooms in our old house as ds2 was due we discovered that ds1 seemd to have a party in his cot most nights..

leave her and she will revert to normal sleeping herself.

Lucky you has a crap night with ds3(8months) last night

My children constantly changed there patterns as soon as you got used to one. They like to keep you on your toes! She sounds like a very content baby to be so good in her cot. Just leave her to it shes just having fun. I encourage my children to be happy on there own its important for there independence. You should be proud of yourself that you have such a wonderfull child

hi guys, thanks for your replies! Yes dh and I are proud of our dd, she has her moments (don't they all!) but is good generally. She has got used to her own cot I think as the only time we've had trouble putting her to bed recently was when we stayed at my in-laws in Bristol. She didn't like the travel cot to begin with, maybe she sussed it wasn't her own!
