My infuriating little shitbag child takes about a million years to fall asleep at night and is now getting up earlier and today woke me and baby at 6 am despite me telling her it was still nighttime, clock still blue. She went back to her room but not before screaming and kicking in our bed, thus waking baby.

Am going to assume that she will continue to piss me off in this way.

Do you think black out blinds will help? Or should I just move to another fucking country?

How long have you had the clock? We have a similar and it took a couple of weeks but it works like a dream now.

Definitely black out blinds.

Re night times, have you cut back on sugary food in the afternoons / evenings? Baths and warm milk can also induce sleepiness.

I feel your pain, have been there.

2 days. she understands it perfectly, she is just extremely annoying.

ordring blinds asap.

Understanding the concept is the first step, the next is understanding that it's got to be abided by.

How old is she? Would backing it up with a star chart or some such work? We promised her that one whole week of waiting til clock changed earned a visit to a hideous soft play place that she adores.

I also have a DD allergic to sleep, and I know it's going to get worse as the nights get brighter...

Black out blinds are your friend.

My dd sleeps with a classical music cd on repeat all night, very quiet. It seems to help her.
