Night nanny - good or bad?

Has anyone had epxerience with a night nanny?

Were they good or bad?

What age was your baby when you got one?

Am sure this topic has been done to death, but would be really interested to see what people's views are on them. I can't make up my mind whether they are a god send or boot camp sargent major?!

When dd was little and an awful sleeper I would have killed to have a night nanny just to get some sleep myself! Unfortunately we couldn't afford one. Reckon for me she would have been a god send.

A night nanny! Wouldn't that be something! Having someone else see to your little monster, I mean, baby whilst you slept on blissfully!

I say get out of your bed and see to your baby yourself you lazy cow!

I work regularly as a night nanny and certainly don't work as a boot camp. I don't believe that babies should be left to cry but work with mum and baby to help them find their own routine. I have worked with children of all ages from newborn to school age, breast and bottle fed. I spend a lot of my time supporting mums in implementing what they would like to happen and supporting them.
