18 month sleep regression in an already early riser

I've posted several times about DD's early waking, and so far nothing has worked.

We now appear to be in the midst of the 18 month sleep regression, as she's waking in the night too. Last night she was up at 3.30, and by 4.40 we gave up and took her out in the car to get her back to sleep.

Any ideas please, we're pretty desperate. Also thinking that perhaps there's a way that we could deal with the sleep regression that would help with the early waking.

What's her routine?

Also:
is she/could she be teething atm?

does she usually settle to sleep independently in her cot at naps/bedtime or does she need a little help (rocking/feeding/motion eg car/pushchair)?

Bed at 7.45, self settles.
Wakes anywhere between 4.45 and 5.45 am.
Nap is 1.30, usually for an hour and a half. If she's at the childminder's she doesn't really nap, if she's at the GPs she gets about an hour.

The problem is, (besides the horrific early waking), it's so hard to keep her awake if she's been up since 5. If we drive anywhere she's asleep, which then of course traps us in a cyle.

She'll nap in her cot at home. At the childminder it needs to be a moving pram, and for the GPs a pram or car.

Hi omama, I'm on the other thread with you.

HIya

I have actually posted on your other thread. TBH I think her nap is too late & she is probably overtired before she goes down. Could you try an earlier nap & a slightly earlier BT? If it helps my DS is currently doing:

WU: 6.45-7am (after 10 months of early waking!)
Nap: 12.30-2.30
BT: 7.30

If she doesn't sleep any longer than 1.5hrs even with the earlier nap, I'd probably bring BT a wee bit earlier & you might find she sleeps longer overnight.

OT is always the biggest cause of short nights for us.
