How do you cosleep?

So after a month of getting up to DD every 1-2 hours all night I have decided to try cosleeping for a bit as we all desperately need some sleep. I've tried in the past but have always ended up either uncomfortable or cold (unless I take her into a different bed from my DP and then she has half a king size bed and I have the other half). Can you tell me how you manage it? Positions, covers etc.

with DS 6 months plus, he wriggled and kicked enough to go in the middle of us, with sleeping bag, on top of the duvet so he did not get too hot and we did not get too cold. But if you are worried about squashing her, you could buy a bed guard on your side and put her on the outer edge. or if you are able to take the side off her cot, bring that to the edge of the bed and have her cross between her bed and the cost. re sleep positions - it will generally be her spread star shaped at the most awkward angle, legs in your back Grin.

i had ds in a separate bed with me. i had the bed pushed right up against the wall, i also had the now defunct cot pushed against my side as en exra barrier. i wrapped myself up snug-as-a-bug in the duvet on the edge and ds slept in his sleepingbag on the wall side.

when i put him to bed at 6.30ish i would spread a couple of folded duvets on the floor in case he rolled off, he never did though.
i also had a bed with head and foot boards.

Ds 11mo starts in his cot and comes into bed about 11pm on when he grizzles. I have a bedguard on my side so i scoot more to the middle and wrap duvet around me, he stays in gro bag with blanket on top. Works for us no one gets cold and bo risk of falling out.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not really worried about squashing her now she's bigger and seems a bit more robust, I just get paranoid about duvets and pillows and things!
