14mth old waking every few mins in middle of night

My 14mth old DD has just changed over to one nap per day. This has been over the last fortnight. She falls asleep easily and on her own. However, at some point during the night she'll wake up every few minutes over the course of about 1.5hrs. It's not at a consistent time so wake-to-sleep isn't an option at the moment. Her new, solitary daynap isn't yet in one lump. She generally requires re-settling to nap for more than 1hr.
Is this some sort of sleep regression? Am I doing something fundamentally wrong?
Been following Baby Whisperer techniques. Trying not to "rush in" (though this generally leads to an escalation); no pick up, just put down and not engaging.
Thanks

My dd3 is 14 months also and did this a few months ago when she 1st cut down to 1 nap. Found she wouldn't nap long enough and kept crying at intervals through the night. I put her back to 2 naps for about a month and she settled back to sleeping all night again. She did drop the morning nap at 12 months though and has been fine since then. Pretty sure my twins were still on 2 naps till about 15 months though. HTH x

My DD does this it is driving me spare, she's only 10 months and although naps are currently quite -ahem- variable, it's been going on since November so not specifically related to anything changing. It is currently starting anywhere between 3.30 and 5.00 so she often doesn't get back to sleep. About to start my own thread again...

It might be nothing to do with sleep regression and change in napping routine. Are there any signs of teething? Molars typically start arriving at that age and they can cause a lot of discomfort. My DS is a fantastic sleeper usually but i always know when he's teething or coming down with a cold when he starts night waking. He was awake every half hour the other night and we can see his molars coming through. One has erupted but the others are on their way.

Thank you all. Delighted I'm not alone! We have several molars now, but no new ones now for a few weeks. It seems we need to crack the day nap in order to get her to sleep at night. She was better last night - the waking every few mins lasted only 40mins!
