Is she too young for changes? If not help!

DD 9 weeks old and is awake in the evenings between her 7pm and 10 feed (rough timings, we demand feed but she has a natural 3 hour cycle) which means that we get no time off in the evenings, have to take turns eating dinner etc. She also takes up to 2/2.5 hrs to complete one feed (ff) as she stops half way through and won?t take the rest for a good while so we?re constantly attending to her and mopping up the large quantities of vomit and posseting (she has reflux and possets up to 8 to 10 time per feed on average along with a couple of big vomits. She is on medicine for this, doesn?t seem to make a vast amount of difference on the amount she brings up but she doesn?t appear to be in discomfort). The 10pm feed means that none of us get to bed before midnight or 11.30 on a v good day, 1am on a bad day.

She has recently started to have the occasional 5 hour sleep initially then a v small feed and then a 2 hour sleep after that which is great.

We would love to get her down at 7 with a dream feed at 10 but I have no idea how to start doing this and don?t want to a) change what we currently do if she?s too young to have her body clock changed or b) start something half heartedly and have it go wrong because I don?t know what I?m doing.
Any help on how to go about successfully implementing this would be greatly appreciated. Will post in Feeding too about her slow eating.

Thank you in advance

Switz what time is she having her ff? Could you try giving her a bath at 6ish followed by baby massage, night clothes and then ff? This might mean that you could be in bed by 10? You may want to talk to a BFC though about timings of the ff and impact on your supply.

She is very young though and cluster feeding in the evening is normal for a lot of young babies. The nights also sound normal and pretty good for a baby so young.

Its just a shame that she has reflux, have you spoken to a BFC about the issues you are having with it and have you seen this thread?

Is she FF or mixed fed? If she's vomiting so much I'd either switch to a comfort milk or consider cows milk protein intolerance and get hydrolysed formula from the GP if 100% FF. Or if mix then drop the formula. Reflux and cows milk intolerance go together.

Does she seem tired between 7&10? If not I'd keep as you are, try keeping things low key in the evening and if she seems sleepy try putting her down at 7. I wouldn't bother with a dream feed just yet - see what her request is as it doesn't always work!.
