Nursery temperatures?

My ds sleeps in his own cot in his own room now....which seems to suit him. We have the central heating on in the evening leading up to ds bedtime...7pm. The temp of the room at this time is around 20-22 degrees....by the morning it is around 18 degrees. Which I know is fine (but seems cold to me). Just wondering how people get round this with what dc's wear to bed? Heating is controlled by a thermostat downstairs, on each radiator....which I'd prefer.

I put DD to bed in a vest and sleepsuit and a thin-ish grobag while it's still fairly warm in the house, and then when I go to bed two or three hours later, when the heating has just gone off, I go in and put a blanket over her as well.

Sounds similar temperature to us. Dd1 who is 2 sleeps in pyjamas and has duvet in big bed. Dd2 who is 5 months sleeps in cot in a babygro and then a 2.5 tog sleeping bag. I was told that if you feel round their neck and they are warn then that's all good even though their hands may feel a bit colder...

Yeah ds is 5 months and if (no when!) he wakes for a feed in the early hours his hands feel cold....not that he seems bothered. (Not sure whether i should put a blanket over him because he's so young). Wondered if this may wake him? Or if the fluctuating temperature is adding to his cough/cold which he can't seem to shake at the moment?

What is he wearing to bed? I don't thin fluctuating temps affect colds if they already have them.

He wears a sleepsuit and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag. Generally he is a hot (sometimes sweaty!!) baby.....so I do get a little confused what to put him in day or night.

the whole point of the grobag is that you dont need any extra covers. Dress him for the lowest temperature overnight - what he is wearing sounds fine for an 18 degree temperature (if you feel he is cold on his tummy then add a bodysuit under the sleepsuit - if his arms get cold use a long sleeved bodysuit under the sleepsuit). During the winter our house gets down to about 14 degrees overnight but my 2 still slept ok without extra blankets - you can add extra clothing if needed
