9 month old's naps

Finally ater 9 months, my LO has started taking somewhat predictable naps. Until now he's been a 30min nap nightmare. He's now regularly taking a morning nap of up to 1.5 hours between 9-11am is and then a second one in anywhere between 2-3pm for no more than 45min. I'm wondering if I should try and reverse this naps so the shorter one is in the morning and longer one in the afteroon. All the advice about nap schedules for babies this age seem to suggest a shorter nap in the morning and longer in the afternoon. Would this make a difference to the overall sleep of a baby this age? He's still not sleeping very well at night, although we occasionally get a night where he doesn't wake between the hours of midnight and 6am....but in the evening after he's gone to bed about 7-7:30pm he still wakes a sometimes 3-4 times and we have to go in to resettle him.

Should I mess with his naps??

Hi OP, my 9 month old DS is doing almost exactly the same as yours-longer morning nap and shorter PM nap. TBH I always thought this seemed quite logical until I read the sane thing as you, about it being the wrong way round. I wouldn't mess with it if I was you, as it sounds as if you've got some nice predictable naps happening now. I feel your pain about the nights; DS still wakes every couple of hours (sometimes more!) every night. But at least having a shorter pm nap means he's very tired by bedtime and always goes to sleep quickly (that is until very recently, but I've mentioned that on another post).
Tbh I've found that naps/no naps and length of nap make very little difference to DS's nights. But that might just be him...
Anyway in summary after rather a long ramble, I'd leave it if I was you. HTH.
