thermals under PJ's or just another layer?

DS is 3 and wears cotton PJ's, under a thin duvet in his room. It always feels chilly to me in there but is it worth getting thermals or just more t-shirts/vests

Fleece overshot type things always work well in our house!

Bloody autocorrect. I mean over SUIT.

Our flat is pretty chilly and I dress DS (6) in vest, cotton pj and then a fleecy oversuit or fleecy PJ on top of the cotton ones.

Primark have some lovely fleecy pjs and all in ones..

thermals are really useful to have. They make snow more enjoyable. A bedroom would have to be pretty cold for them to not be too hot in bed though. When we camp they sometimes wear thermals instead of pyjamas.

I agree about the usefulness of fleecy oversuits; ds1 loves his.

Do you not find that fleece pjs/all in ones make them a bit sweaty and sticky...? I'm considering whether to get them from Primark for my DSs (6 & 3) as others have recommended them.

I think our flat is so cold that we never sweat Grin

The primark children's ones are quite thin fleece so don't think they would be sticky even at reasonable room temperature.

I have adult ones which are much thicker and I wear them over my pjs and am still chilly
