6 month old used to sleep through and now doesn't whats gone wrong?

Dd is 6 months old and used to sleep from bedtime(between 6-7pm) until 5.30-6am, she started doing this at 9 weeks however the last 4 weeks this has gone out of the window.

Bedtime is still a good routine but sometimes she'll wake almost as though she's had a nightmare, waking up really upset, in tears and take over an hour to settle. However the main problem is Dd turning through ninety degress then getting stuck, this happened at 1.30 and again at 2.30 last night, Dd wouldn't resettle ended up giving her a bottle and she then slept 4-5.30 before deciding its time to get up.

I don't mind her being up between 5.30 and 6 (I'm an early bird and dh leaves for work at 6 in the week) but I really need a solid stretch of sleep during the early hours.

Dd is teething and has had a cold which has now gone. She normally naps 6.30-7.30 11-11.20 and 15.00-15.30, but sometimes doesn't have the mid morning nap. Any ideas?

No expert here (DS didn't sleep through consistently til all his teeth came through at 18mo) but it sounds like teething pains. Not sure what is 'allowed' these days for a 6mo but if Calpol is permitted, could you try giving her a dose at bedtime and see if that makes a difference? You may need to do it for a few nights until her teeth have settled down again.

Some improvement last 2 nights, DD slept 6pm -5am sunday night, so put her to bed at 7 last night hoping for a lie in she stirred from 4 and woke at 5, did have a dirty nappy and was wide awake. Have stopped her moving and getting stuck by putting her in her grow bag under a tightly tucked in blanket. Wish we could just get her to wake a little later, she's had 10oz of milk and has just fallen back to sleep on bed next to me and i guess will sleep until half seven ish when she'll be looking for her breakfast.

It's probably developmental. They do change their sleep patterns in the first 12 months according to developmental spurts. Usually, their physical development is involved and you'll see them moving around in their sleep a lot. They need to do this in order to practise rolling, crawling, self propulsion etc. If you restrict them they end up frustrated and potentially wrapped up in whatever you use to restrict them which is a hazard. It usually passes on its own, frustrating as it is.
