Hi everyone, don't know if i'm placing this in the relevant place or not. My 4month old dd always kicks the covers off at night and wakes up because she's freezing. i bought her a grobag a couple of days ago and she still woke up. my dp put her to bed last night and when i woke this morning i also found her with a blanket on. she slept straight through for the first time in about 6 weeks so i'm wondering if the grobag is too thin. it's a 3tog. is this enough? what tog are everybody elses? TIA

3 tog is fine, most of them are 2.5 tog. What you do is regulate the amount of clothing she wears underneath it. The original grobag comes with a thermometer and chart showing what to put on them depending on the temperature of the room, were there any instructions on the one you've got ?

no, no instructions. i bought it from asda as my sister bought a lot of expensive ones and her dd wouldn't sleep in them. so i didn't want to waste a lot of money. she has a vest and sleepsuit on underneath. does this sound ok?

My DD is 13 weeks. She wears a grobag at night as weel as she was also terrible at kicking off the covers.
We eventually sussed that she hated having things directly on her feet, so bye bye all in one sleep suits. Now she just sleeps with a vest and the grobag.
Our room is very cool, and she also has one from ASDA - is yours a pink one saying Millie on it?

my dd wears a sleeping bag from mothercare. i think its a 2.5 tog, which is the equivalent to a sheet and 2 blankets. and thats when the baby has a nappy, vest and sleepsuit on....

beansprout · 07/01/2006 09:08

That sounds fine, but of course it depends how warm the room is. Do you know?

bubbles2904 · 07/01/2006 09:46

yes it is elf, snap! LOL the room is very cold at the moment. the whole house is to be honest unless the heating has been on for at least 1 hour.

our dd is fine in the grobag and just a vest and nappy. (Plus the grobag is really sweet and she looks like an angel in it!!)
She hates having things directly on her feet such as a sleepsuit.

thanks elf and thanks very much for all the fast responses. ps, my dd looks like a angel too
