It takes my ds quite a while to settle for his morning nap just wondering if anyone elses dc are like this? And when they stop having morning/afternoon naps?

Yes my 10mo DD usually takes about 20 mins to settle for her morning nap, but I definitely think she still needs it because she whinges all morning if she doesn't have it.

What times does your ds sleep? Mine has around 40mins at 9am and 2hrs at 1pm.

He usually has an hour at 915 and an hour to two hours at 3pm then bed at 7. He's fine settling at night time it's just the day time naps that are a drama Sad

Yeah same here. I keep wondering if I should try putting her down a bit later in the morning but she is yawning and rubbing her eyes from about 830 so she must be tired!

I wish DD would have her morning nap in the middle of the night rather than wake up and want to play at midnight through 'til 3am! She used to be a good sleeper but I think the teething gremlins are at work. :(

My ds is still sleeping think he's having a growth spurt naps will be interesting today

Dd is nearly 10mo. V rarely naps in the morning, generally has 1.5 hours on the afternoon. Sometimes no naps at all, even though she needs them .

cookingfat · 28/11/2011 08:08

Oh, and she self-settles with no fuss in her cot at night. By day, she fights sleep and will only nap on my bed snuggled up to me.

I think my ds is giving up his mornings and just preferring to lie in till 830am! This doesn't bother me :) although trying to get ready for work with him crawling around my feet trying to grab hair dryer / straightners isn't always fun Grin

He usually has quite a good sleep in the afternoon and is down for 7pm every night.
