6 months old..... Not sleeping through

Hi guys. I need help! You would think DS is my PFB but he is my third child. He is 6 and a half months old and has slept through just a handful of times. I'm exhausted!

I made a decision to move him out of our room last night and into his own but it made no difference to his sleep.

Currently he goes to bed at 7pm, wakes at 10,12 which is when I tend to feed him and then he wakes every hour after that. I didn't go to him last night except at 5am when DH went and got him and bought him in bed with us. He does self settle but only after he has woke me up! Lol

How do I handle this? Daytime naps are usually one hour in morning from 8-9 and an hour from 1-2!

It's been a while since I had a little one, but have you ever tried doing a "dream feed" at about 10pm? My 2 didn't really waken while they had it, but it gave them a full enough tummy to carry them much further through the night

I have 3 DCs none of them slept through until they were 2 yrs. I think people are just lucky if they have a 6 month old sleeping through. (sorry-no help)

My DS didn't sleep through until 11 months and even then it was only every now and then. The way we did it was I would breastfeed before putting him down and then when he woke up during the night DH would comfort him... I wouldn't see DS until at least 6am for feeding. This way we got DS used to not feeding in the night. He woke up less and less because DH wasn't feeding him until he slept through.

DD is nearly 6 months and nowhere near sleeping through. On a really good night she might do 5 hours before she starts with the hourly feeds, but last night for example she was troubled by her first tooth coming out and comfort fed all through the night.

I feel your pain!

I do dream feed between 10/11 when I go to bed so I know he isn't hungry. He takes about 25oz milk and has three meals plus snacks a day!
