We recently purchased the Baby Bjorn. It's really good and our little one slept very well in it. it's so easy to put up and very light to carry around. plus it comes with it's own mattress which is very comfy. It is very expensive though - around £200 - but i figure it's for life, and can be used for the other babies when they come along.

i got one from kiddicare (i'm pretty sure it was their own brand one) and bought a separate mattress.

all came to about £60.

dd loved it, slept in it fine on holiday and still sleeps in when we spend the day mums and she needs a nap.

folds up nice and small and the mattress folds in half to make packing into the boot a bit easier, the fold is well padded too so there is no obious join between the two halves.

Baby Bjorn. Goes up in seconds, super-light yet feels rigid and safe. Takes just a minute to dismantle and pack. We used it in the lead-up to our trip too, to help DD get used to it.

One downside, and this may be true of other cots, the mattress is right down at floor level - the sides up to nearly waist-height (for me), so I've found it a slightly tricky movement to get DD in, especially now she's heavier (7kg heavy).

The Graco one with the full size bassinet. Get a mattress though.

We bought a NScessity UV Travel Centre, which looks like a wee tent! It pops open in seconds and comes with a self inflating mattress. Can use it as a sun tent on the beach....unfortunately we live in scotland and will not be likely to need that any option any time soon!

Love the fact it folds down so small.

We bought this one:

and love it. Sounds like the one Jareth posted about too, we also recommend getting a mattress for it too. It has a bassinet that slots in the top and saves having to bend all the way to the bottom but is only suitable up to 3 months old. Without this though the cot is suitable up to 3 years old. The vibration and music centre really helped settle DS in his early months but we didn't really use the changing table that comes with it. The wheels make moving it around very easy, even when compacted down in the travel case.

Baby Bjorn light - expensive but the ease of putting it up and down is worth the extra. Maybe if you're only going to use it a few times go with something else, they're all a flippin' pain to put up and down!!!

I like the lightness and ease of the Samsonite Bubble, but the mattress is too thin, so we put it on top of a thermarest-type travel mat.

Another vote for the ncessity travel tent - saves an amazing amount of space in the car and easily fits into luggage for going on holiday.
