Waking to talk at 5.30!!!!

My ds is almost 6 months and has been sleeping well through the night for a few months (7ish til 6.30). This is really great BUT, it's not a major thing but lately he has begun waking up around 5.30 and likes to lay in bed and talk as loud as possible!!
I guess it would be fine if I wasn't such a light sleeper but he wakes me just too early and then wakes his sister too! Is this something they grow out of?
It could be a lot worse I know but it's just a minor frustration!

My DS is nearly 7 months and has gone from a 7-7 sleeper to waking at 5.30 sometimes earlier) too. Again I can hardly complain as I get an uninterrupted sleep until then but he wakes his big brother too and he is grumpy as hell the rest of the day! I hope it's a phase too! Grin

Mum says my sister used to do this (actually she used to wake up and sing so count yourselves lucky) but yes, she grew out of it after a while.

Enjoy.

Ear plugs got me through my DD's last bout of 5am chatting!

We totally have this problem too and I will come back to talk to you about this soon! Sorry, pointless post other than to let you know you aren't alone!!

We went through it too at various stages. It was rather difficult to ignore when he was still in the same room as us so we just used to lie there and listen and giggle to ourselves. He usually went back to sleep again after 30 mins or so. And once he was in his own room i just turned the monitor down to minimum so i could still hear him if he cried but turn over and go back to sleep if he was talking of shuffling around.

My dd does this too (shes 4months) but from 3.30am. I'm starting to go a bit mad with lack of sleep now and not sure how to make her sleep through longer than 7pm to 3.30am. I think you're lucky that you have a 5am start!!!! Only joking, we all need more sleeeeep! Zzzzzzz

It doesn't get any better I'm afraid .. My. DD and DS did this as babies . They are now 6 and 3.5 and yes they still do it . My 6 yr old strode in stroppily not long ago to tell me at 5.30am that she was definetly wearing high heels to dress down day at school ..
