Breaking the wake up habit...

DS is seven months on Saturday and he's a god sleeper on the whole. However, he's started waking at between 4.30-5 every morning. I've been offering boob but he's often sick after feeding and I'm starting to think it's just habit waking him at the same time every morning.

Any tips for breaking the habit?

I feel your pain.

My DS doesn't want feeding but just starts shouting at about 5am. Normally results in multiple dummy runs before I give in and transfer him to our bed where he promptly drops off again.

Is he cold? I find sticking the heating on from 3am sorts that out (usually)

The heating is on a timer and he seems cosy. He's a puker and when I feed him at the early wakeup he's often really sick afterwards.

Someone suggested offering water instead of boob but I don't see how that would help?

Offering water may help if he's not actually peckish but just wanting to comfort suck.

DS was awake at 5am again this morning.
