Rolling 6month old - tips please

Hello
Just wondered if anyone had any tips on how to stop my DD rolling onto her tummy in the night and waking up in a blind panic about it (her not me) (well actually her closely followed by me!).
She sleeps in a gro-bag which initially helped keep her on her back but this is no longer the case as she gets stronger.
I have tried rolling up a couple of blankets and placing them either side but she just ends uo grabbing them and waving them around and they usually end up in totally the wrong place.
All suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks.

I don't have any advice for you, just sympathy. Our 6 month old boy started doing the same thing a few weeks ago. We tried tucking the bottom of his sleeping bag under the mattress to stop him with no success. After a few awful nights he started to roll over without waking and sleep happily on his front. He now does this about 70% of the time - the other 30% he will wake up and cry - which is progress, I guess. I was worried about him sleeping on his tummy, but have been reassured by many people that now he's over 6 months and strong enough to roll it's fine.

Sorry, probably not very helpful! Just wanted you to know you're not alone.

Thanks for your message. Hadnt thought of the tucking the sleeping bag thing in which could try. Maybe like yours she'll get used to the on the tummy thing and stop waking up.... funny how just when you think you've nailed it - ie sleeping through the night - the teething and rolling thing kicks off! My little boy is 7 months now, and started doing the same thing as yours just after 5 months. He'd roll over, then start crying because he hated it until I got up and rolled him back over - at which point he went straight back to sleep. At it's worst I was getting up 11 or 12 times a night just to roll him back. The good news though is that it only lasted badly for a couple of weeks - I suspect that he enjoyed the actual rolling and was practising his new skill, he seems to have outgrown it now. So no helpful tips I'm afraid, other than fingers crossed it'll pass! INWYM, we had just 10 days of sleeping through until the rolling thing started, and we got over that just in time for teething!
