is this book good for breastfeeding? I ask because I've had a few that don't really work for feed on demand people and those who don't / can't use a bottle. Thanks

Yep, it is perfect. Written by a bfing, demand feeding, attachment parent type person.

Thank goodness. Someone gave me the rachel waddilove book and I ripped it up to make sure no one else could read it Blush

Oh, it is bloody awful - makes Gina Ford look like a hippy! It is one of only 2 books I have ever thrown away! The bfing advice is awful, and as for the sleep advice! NCSS is gentle sleep nudgery.

NCCS is for bf-ing babies. Did not work on my bf-ing babies though. It was too gentle!

Time is the best solution, but worth a try in the meantime.

I'm a no cry mum and upon reading I thought it was GENIUS, I was persistent but the techniques were sooooooooooo subtle, they did not really take effect, I use one or two things still but ended up doing the shushpat with a bit of pupd (baby whisperer thing) to get dd to self settle after having been fed to sleep, some crying but only with her in my arms as she learned how to do things a different way (not on my boob).

In the intro it says it all ....92% of babies slept through the night (her definition being 5 hours or more) by day sixty that is quite a long time in my view! And through the night is to me 7/8 hours!
