I'm afraid so. In DD's case it was the worst of all the sleep regressions (up for 2h spells for no other obvious reason for several weeks). The good news is that I think that's it for 'official' sleep regressions until 18mo! Hope it passes more quickly for you.

I hope so too! ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Think my 9 1/2 month old is going through the same thing. He was an ok sleeper until a few weeks ago. Now he wakes up several times in the night and I can be up with him for anytime from an hour to 2 hours. Hoping it is just a phase he is going through.
Last night I could not get him to go back in his cot, everytime I tried to lay him down he cried. Ended up co-sleeping with him, which is ok as I bring him into bed with me from anytime after 3am most nights just so that I get some sleep.

Hi fifitot we seem to have all the same problems! I don't think there is a sleep regression, I'm convinced it's teething. We get a couple of crazy nights then a tooth. We've had 2 crazy nights this week, no tooth so far but dc3 is able to chew much better so there must be a top tooth near the surface.

My 9 month old is now dreadful a lot of the time. Wide awake for 2 hours in the night.

o yes that happened here too... only lasted 2/3 weeks though... try giving him a little less sleep in the day maybe? Once he starts walking he'll be zonked, honestly!

here

Hmmmmmmmm is teething as well so could be that - or both! He hasn't any teeth but the tiniest tip of one has broken through his gum. I wish it would just grow through now quickly as he really seems to suffer with it!

We had a month of hell - DS was up for 2-3 hours every single night for over 4 weeks! We were so shattered! At the beginning co-sleeping helped but after a week it did not make a difference, he was just wide awake whereever he was.
In the end the only way we were able to resolve it was by changing his napping pattern. Only a very short morning nap or no nap in the morning at all and a long lunchtime nap.
Hope it is not as bad for you.

Oh yeah, and a friend's DS went through it too, she said giving milk usually worked (her DS actually never had milk feeds in the night from 6 months onwards, could be something to consider even if you have already nightweaned).

After today's nap fighting, (normally is very easy) I thought I would have to try just the one nap. I will miss the peace and quiet of that little bit of time to myself, but if it means I get some sleep then that is ok. I can barely type, let alone structure a sentence. I almost just spelt it sentunce, I'm going to go away now.
