can be known to sleep 8-8

currently waking- 12, 3, 4, 6, 7....

she takes a wee bit of milk-less than 1 fl oz and can fall back asleep, so i dont think its a growth spurt as she's not taking more during the day and really not that much during the night

doesnt take a dummy, she stopped before she was 3m, just no longer needed it to settle and will not take it now!

have previously left her to self settle which she does well when she previously woke but now when she wakes she is upset- not full on crying but not just her singing away

do i try the 'no cry method' which i have just seen mentioned here for the first time, so someone will need to fully explain it to me

or CC which i think she is too young for

or just keep going till she settles back into a good routine?

also, im going back to work on 16th may, ive heared before that babies can pick up on this and it makes them feel unsettled?

she naps during the day at 11am and 3pm (sometimes a wee extra nap at 7pm too)

too young for anything other than giving comfort when needed

classic growth spurt time too

increase feeds during the day if she cues?

minimuffy · 12/04/2011 15:18

i on demand feed, she gets the hungrier baby stuff before bed. She's not been taking any more and ive tried her with the bottle a bit more and she wont take it unless shes hungry!

what about dream-feed at 11pm? I haven't any experience of it but lots of folk swear by it - you rouse her gently, and feed her half asleep then gently put back down

I've had this and I the only thing that seemed to work was pain relief... My conclusion was that it was the beginning of teething.
I used bonjela or neurofen. Gave me my sanity back!!

hmm, never dream fed before, might give it a try..

We dream feed with DS (nearly 18 weeks) and apart from the growth spurt he has just been through he normally goes through from 7pm -6 am. We give 6oz at about half 10 - 11pm, just gently lift him from bed/cot, feed whilst still asleep and then put straight back down and tuck him in.
