Wind and teething

DD is 14 months old and can be a reliable 12 hours a night sleeper for weeks on end (though has had various bouts of truly awful sleep).

She's currently waking alot and not going back to sleep for anywhere between an hour and 4 hours - this has been going on for nearly 3 weeks (though she has slept through for 2 nights in that period).

There are definitely teeth coming through - including ones towards the back. Occasionally she's had a slightly elevated temperature which I've put down to the teething, but the most noticeable thing has been wind. She's farting and burping away like mad and doing that newborn knee pulling up and writhing thing.

Have any of you noticed a correlation between wind and teething? My other thought is that we introduced a cup of cow's milk before bed 5/6 weeks ago and I wonder whether (in combination with other cow's milk products in her diet) whether that could have set off a mild intolerance?

She's still BFing (though until now it had been months since she had a night feed) but I'm certain she isn't waking up for milk.

Ideas? Experiences?

All I can do at the moment is get her happy and then put her down awake and hope she drifts off. If I try to put her straight back down she just screams for hours and if I try and put her down asleep she just wakes up.

Gah! Been up since 2am yawn....

It could be the milk. You could try cutting it out for a bit and see if it makes a difference?

If not that, I would guess at a lingering tummy bug or other virus, maybe? Does she ever have constipation - that was my other thought, can make them really uncomfortable.

I would guess it's the milk. Quite common if they've not had it before. Why don't you bf before bedtime? See if that makes a difference
