Just that really. I read a lot about it on here, and have googled, but I'm not 100% what it is, when/how to introduce it.

DD is 5 weeks. We try and get her to sleep around 7pm ('try' being the operative word some evenings), and it varies as to when she wakes for her next feed. Sometimes around 10pm, which is great, other nights it's nearer midnight, which has a knock on effect for her night feed, and then the morning.

Many thanks.

hi, just pick baby up while sleeping and give her the breast/bottle - tickle her lips with the nipple and she should start to suck out of instinct. when you do it is up to you but it's recommended between 10-11 before you go to bed yourself. the theory is that you then get the longest stretch of her sleep while you are sleeping yourseld. it worked well for us!

Thank you Katie! Definitely worth a try!

It works well for many but it didn't for us. It started our little one on a two hour feeding pattern from the point when we started the dream feed (around ten). Give it a go for a few nights but be mindful that it does not work for everyone...I thought it was the solution and ended up dismayed and baffled...

Your DD is still getting used to being out in the big wide world. I know how tiring it is for you but sometimes it is best for them to settle in to the first stretch of sleep naturally without being moved about. This is where my DD is at her most relaxed and peaceful.
