hmm, i just read a thread somewhere that said maybe green veg etc can make baby wake at night? DS has been waking through the night the past 2 months after sleeping through for 5 months, and i cant figure out why, its not teething, he's not hungry (although i do BF him back sleep) and some nights he wakes up every hour, but some only once or twice. are there foods that i should avoid? he usually eats what we eat, chicken curry, beef stew etc and some carrot sticks, then yogurt or a rusk after. sometimes jars of baby food. any ideas?

I might have been the one who mentioned this. We noticed if we gave DS peas or brocolli he'd wake up, want a feed and wriggle about seemingly uncomfortable and he'd fart and feed (or we'd rock and he'd parp away)

In his case it was green veg, bread, biscuits, dairy, spicy food. Things that would make many people windy already.

We just make sure his tea is boring and anything windy is kept for lunch.

I think DS is a bit more windy than most!

Rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes are ok for DS. Plus chicken, lamb, fish. (for his tea).

It might not be wind at all - could just be that he's waking. One way to tell is see if he resettles for your DH. DS never did with wind - always wanting feeding for comfort.

Ah ok! Well try giving a boring tea for a couple of nights and see what happens. I found that a teaspoon of peppermint tea after dinner helps a bit too.

excellent, i will give it a go for sure! its worth a try, and i will be soooo happy if by some chance it works! honestly he used to sleep 12 hours. ugh.
