I have posted this problem on the behaviour and development thread but this is a slightly defferent side of things. DS has been a good sleeper since he was about 9 months old, he would sleep from 6am to 6pm fine, but the last few weeks he has been waking every hr for a drink and wont sleep untill he has had a drink, this means he is waking every hr with a soaking wet nappy and the sheets will be soaked and his pj's will be to.
He will NOT drink during the day from any type of cup again he usually has a spout sippy cup but wont have it now.
Its got to the point where he wont settle in his own cot he will have to get in our bed where he will sleep in short bursts waking ever hr for a drink. im not sure what to do to get him back to the good sleeper he was before. hes 14 months now an dhas about 3hrs sleep in the day.

Hi, am assuming you mean 6pm-6am!! I would offer a drink BEFORE going in cot and holding back with the drinks during the night (unless of course you believe he really is thirsty). Quick cuddle and say "no drink, sleepy time" (or whatever you usually say) and walk away - might take a few hundred attepmts. Most importantly don't give in. Sounds to me like he's just developed a habit, not a need, of waking up for a drink. Maybe when you go to bed you could put a small drink in the corner where he can reach/see it, so that if he really is thirsty, he can have a small drink. For the wet sheets have you tried pampers bed mats? and if you don't already, turn down the front of his pjs so they don't cover the nappy.
