4yo with multiple night wakings - vaccinations causing it, or coincidence?

DD1 is 4 1/2 and had just her MMR booster on wednesday. SInce htat night, she has been waking up to 6 times a night, shouting and crying for us. She claims not to know she is doing this and we think she really doesn't. Do you think it is just coincidence or can poor sleep be a side effect of this vaccine? She was fine with her first one that she had at 22mo.

My DD was pretty ill both times with MMR, quite spectacularly so with the booster - really upset, unhappy child. That only lasted one night though, but I think it can make children feel unwell for several days.
I'd ring the GP tomorrow if you are still concerned.
Hope you have a better night tonight.

thanks Beamur; she seems 'under the weather' but not ill as such, but the night wakings are worrying. She has had a lot of sleeping issues but we though we had resolved them a few months ago as she has been brilliant. Sad

These things can come and go. Is she too old for night terrors? Or has anything happened that she might be having nightmares about?
Just keep doing whatever you have been doing that has worked - kids throw us a curve ball every now and again to keep us on ours toes!

could be night terrors/mares, she has had them both in the past, and she is a sensitive little soul.
fingers crossed for some sleep tonight....

My DD - now 4 - still harps on about a nightmare she had when she was 18 months old. I had to promise never to turn into a snail again! I know the pain and pleasure of a sensitive little one Smile
