Windy baby waking herself up

Hello MNers just wondered if anyone else had experienced this. My 9wo has, since her eight week jabs, been crap at sleeping. She was alright before but currently wakes up every two hours from 10.30. She seems to me to be trying to pass wind and straining, which I think wakes her up.

My question for the group is: do you think my diet (ie dairy) could affect her digestion and do you think infacol would help?

Ok that was two questions. I'm tired.

I understand, from those that BF, that waking every two hours isn't unusual. If you think she has got indigestion then you could possibly ask your HV or GP for advice. My friend's baby used to struggle with wind if my friend ate too much greenery, for example.... but others tell me this is a load of old rubbish and what you eat has no effect on breastmilk. :) However, my DS as a baby was quite a wind-machine. It used to take a good half hour after the last feed of the evening to properly wind him. Infacol etc. had no effect.

My DS is, and has always been, a windy little trumpy bum. His straining and groaning used to drive us mad but has improved a lot now (14 weeks). Try infacol, gripe water, dentinox, colief. Unfortunately none worked for us. My sister swears that broccoli used to upset her DD more than usual but lots of others don't believe that your diet affects the baby. My DS is so windy that i'd end up going on hunger strike if what i eat affects him!

Ha thanks Matana. We tried Infacol and that seems to have helped. Oh crap, she's just woken up again. Better go!
