DD is 6 months, EBf and has always fed to sleep. I am getting to the point where I resebnt being a human dummy and it is getting harder to get off the boob and into cot without waking. I am trying to unlatch when she is slightly awake but it is slow progress. Also i can never settle her for naps in the day - i feed in a dark room for 30 mins, try to transfer her to cot and she wakes - would a dummy help us at? I do not want her to become a child with a dummy in her mouth all - this would only be for settling her to sleep...

Wouldn't hurt to try. What's worse? A child with a dummy or you having your hands tied and movement restricted for big parts of the day?

Try it. May not work as she's been used to you but is worth a good bash.

As others have said, worth a try. It's either that or you remain a human dummy until she stops BF...which for me was at 14 months. Note to self: use dummy for DC2!
