Hi, my daughter is nearly six months and was sleeping through the night untill recently. I have just started her on solids. Im only giving her half a jar for lunch and dinner a time at the moment with milk/water. She seems to be really enjoying it. She goes down at 8pm and has started waking between 2am and 3am. I give her a bottle and she demolishes it! She is currently on 7 ounces (Aptamil extra ) sometimes leaving a ounce. I was wondering if I could give 8 ounces instead. Though it does say as a guide on the box that for her age she should be having 7 ounces. Any suggestins for getting her to start sleeping through again would be appreciated.
Thanks

I should introduce breakfast as well and try and give her more solids at lunch and tea and keep the milk the same, as ultimately you want her to eat more solids. Have you started giving her meat yet? She may want some more protein and iron. My ds started waking at night at about six months and hasn't stopped yet - he just wakes! I can't even say its teeth because its been going on for so long! Atleast he puts himself back to sleep although he makes sure I am awake first!

Agree with suss that you could try introducing protein - meat, cheese, yogurts etc. My DS is 6.5 months and he too started waking at about the same time as yours and demolishing a bottle. I think it was a growth spurt (lasted about a week) as he's since got noticiably bigger so vegetable and fruit purees weren't sustaining him anymore. We also introduced porridge for breakfast and he still has 4 milk feeds a day. He's back now to sleeping through and does so more consistently than he was before.

Annabel Karmel and Gina Ford have some really quick and easy chicken recipes that are very tasty. DS loves them
