Is my DS warm enough?

My DS, 2 and a bit, seems to find it impossible to sleep under any bedclothes. He either protests in the first place, or shakes them off during his nocturnal gymnastics. At the moment he wears a vest underneath cotton-knit pyjamas. If I wake I go in and put a blanket over him as it seems chilly by 5 a.m, but he still shakes it off. I'm under a 13 tog duvet, and wonder how he can be warm enough. He wore a grobag last winter, but won't tolerate one now. How many bedclothes do other toddlers sleep under?

Ds1 is 3 and a bit and refuses all blankets, duvets etc. He says he likes the cold. I agree with you that he can't possibly be warm enough, especially when I'm huddled under a thick duvet. But then again my circulation is appalling and presumably his isn't. The only solution we have found is making him wear more clothes. At the moment he has a light jumper/fleece on top of his pyjamas and in winter we make him wear socks.

Last winter ds2 slept in a fleece sleepsuit over his cotton sleepsuit, as he wouldn't keep his covers on.
The sleepsuit has rubber dots on the feet so that if ds2 got up and walked around he woudn't slip. I bought 1 in Tescos and 1 in Mothercare - cost about £12.

Thank You, Sari and Iota, those solutions sound like the way forward!
